The concept for e-BuckMail.com was born in 2004 when one of the three company founders, Chad McDonald, decided to find a way to combine today's cellular and digital imaging technologies. As a bowhunter, cell phone user and game camera enthusiast, Chad knew the technology for a cellular game camera probably existed. But as a sales and marketing professional with years of experience in the sporting and technology fields, he also knew that the ultimate cellular game camera would have to be straightforward and simple enough for any hunter to use in the field.
Chad decided to explore his idea by sharing it with two friends and fellow bowhunters - Lon Feia and Nathan Edin. Sharing Chad's love for bowhunting and big buck pictures, Lon and Nate immediately saw the benefits of a cellular game camera and agreed to help Chad come up with a workable solution. It wasn't just good fortune that Lon was also the owner of a regional chain of cellular resale stores or that Nate was a Certified Network Professional with a Masters Degree in Applied Telecommunications.
With Chad's sales and marketing experience, Lon's extensive background in negotiating cellular contracts, and Nate's expertise in advanced technologies and network development, a winning team was born. Over a year's worth of research, patent applications and development has resulted in the only turnkey system whereby users can purchase a single piece of hardware and a monthly service to remotely monitor game activity via digital images over the World Wide Web.
So, while the software, circuit boards and various other components utilized in the development of the e-BuckCam and the e-BuckMail.com service might be complicated, the end result is a game camera that is extremely easy to set up, use and maintain. The founders made sure of that. The e-BuckCam is, quite simply, the next generation of game cameras.
